Removing the Body of a Miata
Removing the body of a Miata was surprisingly simple. Using a rented engine lift, we are able to easily lift the 700 pound steel body and detach it from the subframe.
We just gotta be careful to not get squished in the process.
Now, we stuff it onto a truck and dump it at a metal recycling facility.
You know how much you get back for recycling 700 pounds of scrap metal? $12 bucks! Barely enough to cover the gas driving the thing over there. Can’t help but feel ripped off.
Here is rolling chassis that we will mate to the Exocet once we get it.
