Installing Radium Fuel Cell

We’ve been pretty unhappy with the stock fuel tank we were using from the Miata we stripped out of. Given the flatter orientation the Exocet forces the tank to be compared to stock, we actually lose some of the original capacity. We were only able to hold about 8 gallons of fuel. We are forced to refuel halfway through a track day which isn’t great when the Raceway’s gas station like to price gouge the crap out of you.

We decided to improve quality of life AND also safety by upgrading to a Radium Fuel Cell/Surge Tank Combo. This will enable us to hold 14 gallons of fuel, be much more safe than our original gas tank, also run a surge tank that will enable us to never lose fuel during High-G cornering.

We plan on fabricating some sort of steel mount where the old gas tank sat.

Stay tuned for more progress!
