Installing Steering Assembly
The initial fitment of the steering assembly was troubling. The steering column was hitting part of the firewall and we were not able to make any obvious adjustments to make the column fit through the pre-cut hole.
So, we decided to widen the hole to allow the steering column to go through the firewall without rubbing against it. Using a Dremel, we ate away at the thick steel metal until we could fit everything together.
Don’t worry about the OEM steering wheel as we’ll replace this before our first track day.
