Installing the Transmission Tunnel Cover
The Exocet transmission tunnel cover will get relatively hot on a heavy track day as the exhaust pipe and transmission is right under the thin aluminum cover so we lined the underside with some adhesive backed heat shield.
The stick shift will have to go through the cover so we mounted a RaceQuip Fire Retardant Shifter Boot. This serves as a great way to cover up any unsightly gaps.
For now, we will stick with the original Miata shift knob but we will upgrade this soon enough.
