Installing Sparco EVO Seats and RaceQuip 6-point Harness
We chose the relatively lightweight and slim Sparco EVO racing seats along with a set of RaceQuip 6-point camlock harnesses for our Exocet. To hold the seats in place, we are using the Sparco aluminum 90 degree side mounts and we are mounting them on Sparco sliding seat rails so there is some level of seat adjustment for the driver.
With a little modification to the original Exocet seatbelt mounting location, we carefully aligned the mounting hardware until everything fit well and fastened everything into place using large bolts through the frame.
Everything is super tight on the Exocet so it took a while to get it to the point where can still slide the seats back and forth. Once in place, we installed our 6-point harness.
To prevent the harness from sliding around in the rear, we used some 1.75” Bar Tube Clamps to hold it in place.
