Installing Dual Oil Catch Cans

Since we are going to install a turbo into the car, our engine will likely have much more oil mixed into the air that gets vented back into the intake manifold. To keep the intake clean and pristine, we decided to run dual catch cans to separate the oil from the air. We decided to go with the Radium Dual Catch Cans which includes a mounting bracket to secure the cans to some surface on our car.

We were running out of space on the passenger side of the engine bay so we decided to use some of the space on the driver side. There was an open spot right behind the radiator where I mounted 3 bar clamps which I got off of Amazon. Two on the top bar, and one of the bottom bar.

I took some scrap aluminum flat and angle strips and rough mounted them to the bar clamps to create sturdy surface to bolt on the dual catch can mount.

After a fresh coat of black paint, the final mount turned out amazing!

To hold the hoses in place from the catch can to and from the intake manifold side, I took more scrap aluminum angle strips and mounted it to existing mount points on the radiator.

I secured all the hoses with some aluminum hose brackets and cleaned up the routing. Final result turned out super clean.
